The first parties I remember were Portuguese family nights. Those classics, Cape Verdean grooves and Lusophone Afro records live in the back of every set, surfacing when the moment calls for more groove and less pace.

Born in France to Portuguese parents, raised between two cultures on Cut Killer mixtapes, late-night radio and the generation that took hip-hop and R&B seriously at home. DJing since 2000, and London is home now. Three cultures feed into the music, including French rap and Lusophone Afro that you rarely hear in the same London set.
I build every set live on the night, with afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B and old school as the base, opening out into UK garage, dancehall, funk and disco depending on how the crowd reacts. The discipline is the same at a Hackney club or a private party.
100+ events played across the UK, France, Portugal and the wider EU. Corporate parties, weddings, prom nights, private birthdays, club residencies and festival warm-ups. Crowds from 60 guests outdoors to 300 in a summer club booking. Many clients book me again.

It started with corporate parties.
I started in 2000 on corporate events. Brand launches, summer parties, end-of-year functions. 25+ years later that passion still runs alongside the weddings, prom nights and club bookings.
The setup behind the set
From Technics 1200s to Serato
My first decks were a pair of Technics SL-1200 MK2s with a Numark Pro SM1 mixer. Vinyl-only, late-90s schooling. I now run a Rane Performer controller with Serato DJ Pro: the same crowd-reading discipline, faster prep, four decks to work with and a library wide enough to adapt to very different crowds. I start every booking with a call to agree on the guest profile, the key moments and the acoustics of the venue. Soundcheck thirty minutes before doors, so everything is dialled in before the first guest arrives.
A recent corporate summer party in France is a good example of how these events usually unfold. 300 guests at a club venue, jazz and soul on arrival, something warmer and quieter through dinner, then a gradual climb into mashups once people were ready to dance. Mixed teams, a wide age range, no single reference point everyone shared. The night ended on the dancefloor and not at the bar. Most bookings ask for some version of that, whatever the format.

Growing up in France with Cut Killer mixtapes, late-night radio shows and the entire 90s/00s French hip-hop ecosystem became the technical foundation: blends, scratches, transitions and a deep respect for crate digging.
United Kingdom: club fluency
London is where that sound turned into professional open-format. UK garage, afroswing, drill, R&B, dancehall and afrobeats share the same dancefloors here, and a single booking can need a quiet lounge hour and a peak-time finish.
